Solaris Motorsport on the way to the Paul Ricard circuit

Pescara, PE – This weekend the Solaris Motorsport Aston Martin tries to search the redemption on Le Castellet circuit, theater of third round of the International GT Open. On the French track Francesco Sini and Mauro Calamia will try to climb up on top after the first two rounds, where the Vantage GT3 was not able to concretize its high potential. “Ringhio”, moreover, will come back on Paul Ricard circuit three months after the huge crash of this winter, that could have costed the season to the Italian Aston Martin.
The first two appointments of the GT Open were more tricky what we expected, we suffered too much setup troubles and we not were able to contretize the potential we know we have. And, until now, we not had exactly good luck. It should be great make a point and restart the season from here. This place for me has a special meaning. Having the chance to restart exactly where we’ve risked to end the season before the time could be fantastic!” commented Francesco Sini. “I like this track, I conquered here my first podium in Superstars and it’s a track could exalt the chassis and the engine of our Vantage. I’m confident!
During the winter test session we were very fast and this gives me a lot of hopes. I know what this car can do and, together with the team, I want to pull out all the performance this Aston Martin has. It’s an agile car, with a great engine and gentle with the tyres, perfect characteristic for this track. We worked a lot with the team at home in order to understand what didn’t work in Spa and Estoril. It’s a difficult moment for us, but working side by side we can exit from this impasse stronger than ever!” said Mauro Calamia.
The round at Paul Ricard arrivals strictly just after the Spa one, we would have liked to have some days more to rearrange the ideas. Anyway, we have some data about the track from the test session of this winter and yes, we can back on the scene of the crime. Maybe like a phoenix we will revive right from here. Francesco and Mauro are giving the 110% every time they drove the car, I want to give them a competitive car.” said Roberto Sini, team principal. “Race by race the GT Open became every time stronger,in each round some new drivers arrives and often it’s a very fast guy. It’s a very level championship we know we can face with each other equally.
