Pescara, Italy – The long summer break brought a lot of good news at Solaris Motorsport workshop. The Italian team took the maximum advantage by the long stop, working hard and developing the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Francesco Sini and Mauro Calamia. After having evaluated several setup solutions thanks to some test sessions on track in Italy and in England, Solaris Motorsport technicians are very confident about the next International GT Open round, hosted this week at Silverstone. On the Aston Martin home track, very close to the Prodive headquarter where the Vantage GT3 are born, Francesco Sini and Mauro Calamia are strongly convinced they have the chance to change a difficult season, starting right in England.

“We changed everything on the car, from the smaller things to the bigger ones. We gained a lot of data on track and we had the chance to test many setup solutions, in order to find a good balance for the Aston with these Michelin tyres, having as main goal the best drive feeling possible for Francesco and Mauro.” commented Roberto Sini, Solaris Motorsport Team Principal. “We are sure we made important steps forward in performances and I hope we will be able to show it right in Silverstone, the home track of Aston Martin. Both our drivers completed some laps here with the Vantage GT3 and we will have an extra test session before the official start of the weekend on Friday where we can try something else. Silverstone has all the goods to be the weekend of the rebirth!”

The fifth round of the International GT Open will officially start on Friday with the two free practice sessions, scheduled at 1:26 and 4:20 PM GMT+1. On Saturday morning, at 11:20 AM GMT+1 the qualifying will decree the starting grid of the 70 minutes endurance Race 1, expected in the afternoon at 3:14 PM GMT+1. Same scheme on Sunday, with the qualifying session at 9:40 AM and the 60 minutes Race 2 at 1:15.
