The Princess is back!

Pescara, Italy – Solaris Motorsport is proud to present the brand new Chevrolet Camaro, ready to face the exciting NASCAR Whelen Euro Series challenge. The iconic American car, that wrote important chapters of the Pescara-based team history, will be fielded starting yet the upcoming NWES round at Brands Hatch with Francesco Sini at the wheel in the ELITE 1 Division. The third Camaro of the Solaris Motorsport history will debut in front of the 50 thousands fans of the sixth edition of the 2018 American Speed Fest.

Here we are! The Princess is back! And it’s wonderful!” commented an enthusiastic Francesco Sini. “I can’t wait to drive it this weekend at Brand Hatch! New bodykit and a new track for me, it’s like a new start for us and I feel really ready. In Franciacorta we showed good progress both on lap times and race pace, we had more time to work at home and I’m confident that in UK we can keep growing and reaching better results. We just need that bit of luck we lacked until now. The third edition of the Solaris Motorsport Camaro will take care of the rest!

The Camaro and the Solaris Motorsport had since the beginning an incredible relationship. The Camaro was the first car we built in our workshop for the Superstars Series, we won our first title with it conquering the 2014 EuroV8 Series championship. And, with Tomas Enge and Francesco Sini at the wheel and the support from Reiter, we gave to the Camaro GT3 its first European success. The Camaro, for us at Solaris Motorsport, is much more than an awesome muscle car.” said Roberto Sini, Solaris Motorsport Team Principal. “The new body kit arrives with some upgrades and setup changes we did on the car, now we have some more experience under the belt. The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is a incredibly high level category, we want to make one more step forward in order the be even closer to the podium spots.

The only one and official NASCAR series in Europe is ready for the third round of the season hosted on the legendary track of Brands Hatch, UK, that brings every year more than 50 thousands fans on the track. The third edition of the Chevrolet Camaro by Solaris Motorsport will hit the track on Friday, June 8th, during the two free practice sessions scheduled at 2:05 PM GMT and 4:40 PM GMT. The qualifying session will start on Saturday morning at 9:20 AM GMT and will decrete the starting grid of the first race of the weekend, planned in the afternoon at 1:50 PM GMT. The green flag for Race 2 will be waved on Sunday at 1:35 PM GMT.
