Francesco Sini is focused on EuroV8 Series title in the decisive Hockenheim final round

Pescara, Italy – After 5 rounds, 9 races and 621 km run flat out, the EuroV8 Series will assign in a 25 minutes long single race in Hockenheim the european crown this weekend. Three are the drivers who are fighting for the championship with three different brands, confirming the great perfomance balance of this 2014. Francesco Sini and his Chevrolet Camaro built by Solaris Motorsport is ready to challenge the two rivals for the european crown Nicola Baldan and Tomas Kostka. In order to give an help to “Ringhio”, Giovanni Berton was reconfirmed by the Italian team on the Lumina after the great debut in Sachsenring.

The driver of the #12 orange Camaro will have to attack in order to close the 13 points gap from the leader Kostka, improving the comeback started 15 days ago in the first of two German weekends. It’s going to be a hard challenge, but with 32 points to be still assigned and more than one possibility in favour, everything can happen: “Here we come. We are at the final race and we are still fighting for the title! I’m proud to be among the contenders, but I can’t deny I go to Hockenheim for playing my cards. The track may be good enough to our cars e and I will have the support of Giovanni. I hope to get the right acknowledgment for the big effort made by my crew during this season. Without the bad luck we had in Mugello we could be on the top of the standings but we are forced to attack! Hopefully there will be good weather conditions, the rest will try to set us…

Reconfirmed after the good performance of two weeks ago, Giovanni Berton is ready to give again his important help to the team: “I’m very happy to race again with the Solaris Motorsport Lumina. I found the right feeling with the car early and we showed we can be very competitive in a non-competitive track for us. I’ll do the 110% in order to help my friend and team mate Francesco in his title battle! I’m glad for this new opportunity, Hockenheim may be a better track for our Chevrolets, we look forward to an important result! Only few days and…

The German track has often awarded the most powerful cars, a big advantage for the Solaris Motorsport ambitions and its 500+ hp 6.2L V8 Chevrolet engines built on both American cars. Unlike the standings leader Kostka, the Sini’s Camaro and the Berton’s Lumina will not have any ballast. It will be an important opportunity for the team managed by Roberto Sini, that could bring home another championship after the 2008 Radical European title, always got with Francesco Sini at wheel of the English sportscar. After two wins and 8 podiums this year, the big boss isn’t satisfied yet: “Now we risk everything, we made big efforts during this season and until now the work led to good perfomance. Our engineers made an incredible job, sometimes we didn’t eat all day and sometimes we forgot to go to sleep in order to arrive at the track in the best shape possible. It could be the right acknowledgment for all this guys. We know the skills of Francesco, he knows what he got to do and he will have all our support. Giovanni will help him, he showed what he can actually do. I could tell that arriving at his point is basically a success, but…now it is no longer enough for us, we’ll try to get more!
