Solaris Motorsport is ready for Monza EuroV8 debut and confirms Sini on Camaro
Pescara (march 12th, 2014) – The Solaris Motorsport team is working very hard to be ready for the debut of EuroV8 Series, the championship that replaces the International Superstars Series, scheduled for April 6th. The italian team plans to be on the grid with two cars: Francesco Sini is confirmed on the Chevrolet Camaro, while for the second car various drivers are interested.
During this winter the two american cars were completely disassembled and rebuilt with care by engineers of Notaresco-based factory. They also took the chance to make some significant upgrades in many areas of the cars. Changes proved right during a couple of test sessions held in December at Vallelunga and Adria, and the good results were confirmed in the last test in Monza, a week ago.
“I’m so excited for this season! The changes made on our car seem good and now I have a better feeling with it. The Camaro is now sincerer and more drivable, and the chronometer confirms my feeling” said Francesco Sini, the team’s lead driver“I’m sure that with my Princess we’ll be strong opponents for everyone this year!”
Roberto Sini, Solaris Motorsport team principal, confirmed the hard work made by team during this months: “During the winter we worked every day to optimized to the best our two cars. We have tested many changes and now we can say that we have solved the issues that sometimes plagued us last year. Before the Monza debut we’ll be on track again, for another test session to further develop our cars.”
The team, in fact, will be at Vallelunga on March 21st with both cars.
The attentions of the engineers were not only for the Camaro, but the Lumina also enjoyed important and substantial upgrades. The American car now has a completely new differential and the same engine of her sister muscle car: “We didn’t forget anything also on the Lumina,” commented Roberto Sini. “Last year with Domenico Schiattarella at the wheel we showed all the Lumina’s potential and this year our intent is to make it even more competitive. Under the bonnet there is now the same engine of the Camaro and a new differential that will make our Lumina really fast! We will be in Vallelunga to test both cars, so anyone can note the difference and the progress we have made“.
Meanwhile, in the Solaris Motorsport factory the work for the second Camaro goes on. It should make its debut by the end of the season.
