Solaris Motorsport with two Chevrolets in Sachsenring for the EuroV8 Series season finale

Pescara, Italy – After a long summer break, the EuroV8 Series comes back racong on the track this weekend at Sachsenring with the exciting title battle between Francesco Sini and his Camaro built by Solaris Motorsport and the Nicola Baldan’s Mercedes and the Audi of Tomas Kostka. The Notaresco-based team, 8 podiums in 8 races and two victories in this season, used this break to develop further its cars, improving many parts of the more 500hp Chevrolets for the German season finale.

Solaris engineers made an important job on the setup of the cars bringing good results during the positive test in Magione in the end of August, where Francesco Sini and and the team could test some new parts like a new setting of the dampers. “After the testing session, I have a very good feeling about the race – said Ringhio – Yes, maybe Sachsenring isn’t the best track for us and we’ll have the maximum of ballast – due to the victory in Brno – but we can do a good race. In Germany we’ll try the new race format, with the 30 minutes single race, and I’m very curious about it. I’m sure that Berton will find quickly the right feeling with the Lumina and he will be an important resource for all the team. My goal is to score the maximum of points I can, I want to arrive in Hockenheim in conditions to set a full attack for the title. I hope we can enjoy all the German fans on the grandstands with a spectacular race!

As Sini said, Giovanni Berton, 2013 Superstars runner up and currently in Porsche Carrera Cup, will be behind the wheel of the second Solaris Motorsport Chevrolet: “I’m very excited for this new challenge. Unfortunately we didn’t have the time to test the car before, so I’ll discover the car only on the track but I guess the Lumina is a bit different from my previous car. I think the Solaris Chevrolet has more power and a different driveability. It will be not an easy return, I don’t know the car and the track, but I’m confident I can be fast enough to help Francesco in his title hunt.” The coming of the strong italian driver, as usual Team Dinamic man, in Solaris Motorsport is due to the good relationships between the EuroV8 teams made stronger by the new association A.T.T..

Solaris Motorsport lands in the penultimate round of the championship with both cars, a big pride but also an important effort for the team manager Roberto Sini and all the team:”We are very happy to see Lumina on track again, it’s a very competitive car and with Giovanni will be the perfect weapon to help Francesco in his title battle. During the summer we did not relax very much, but we kept developing both our cars in order to score again the good results picked until today. Now we have two very important weekends in front of us to finalize the good work done in these months.

The EuroV8 Series week end in Sachsenring is scheduled during the great show of the ADAC GT Masters, a championship able to fill up the grandstands with thousands of fans every Sunday. Free practice sessions are scheduled on Saturday, 20 September, at 8:00 AM and 2:20 PM, in the afternoon the qualifyng will start at 6:20 PM.
